Sorry Guys - tried the Archive first....

Going out to shoot in 20F weather tomorrow (yea! Spring in Alaska!) and am about to park my Scarlet outside with the AC power to condition it for a Blk Calibration at that temp.
Thats all good BUT
Would like to save/back up CURRENT "standard" (indoor, room temp) Blk Cal so I could just reload it off... the SSD? (or file saved on computer).
I have Build 4.0.3
Can I do this?
I went into the SETTINGS/MAINT/CALIBRATIONS
-In "Current Cal Map" I scrolled in "User HS" (which I am assuming is my current BLK CAL)
-Then I scrolled down to "Export Current Calibration to media..."
-Named it (BLK-STD)
-Exported it... (got an alert saying I had)

SO:
don't see it as a file on my SSD when I go to PRESETS and look at the SSD side of the display.
Is it a distinct file?
Did I save it?
Where is it?

Thanks

it won't show up in the preset dialog as it's not a preset, it's a calibration file. Check the 'calibration' folder on the SSD. To reapply the exported calibration file you will use the same calibration dialog.

You can always check your current calibration parameters on the camera status dialog.

Thank you Trent.

When I did the "save" (??) of my then-current (ie "Standard Black" I was trying to save so I could go ahead and do my 20F Black) I did not see anything labeled "Calibration Folder" on the SSD side of the PRESETS menu in-camera. Just my personal camera settings I always keep there.
Are you saying this is something I would see if the SSD was mounted on the Red Station to my Mac?
(The camera is outside calibrating now...)
Or maybe I just screwed up trying to do the "save"....

Looking ahead, build-wise, am I right in noting that newer builds actually store 2 BLACK CALs onboard??

The bummer is when you format they are gone.
RED needs to have a way to keep them on the ssd without doing 4 mounts/unmounts every time you download your footage.

You won't see the calibration files in the Presets Dialog on camera, only presets stored on the SSD are shown there. You should see a "calibration" folder on the SSD if you mount it to your Mac. You'll want to make a copy of these onto your computer so you don't lose them. As Les pointed out, if you format an SSD you erase everything on it, including any saved presets files and calibration files.

There are two calibrations stored in camera. The factory calibration which cannot be modified and the user calibration. When you import a saved calibration it will replace your user calibration.

Totally agree, would be awesome to keep the calibrations on the card after a format.

Belated THANK YOU! Trent

No more "calibration" folder saved to SSD with buid 5.2.9, correct??

Edit: I was doing something wrong. Exporting cal possible.

Still, too many blue, red, green dots on 1' black shade.
Resulting footage would be pretty unusable.
Anybody got any luck at 1' calibration?

Was just about to create a thread about this. I talked to support and the suggested that I send the camera in for review, but I wanted to see how common this RGB Chickenpox / Dead Pixel problem is.

Here's an image what was shot at 1 fps with a 1 sec shutter. The bad thing is that I DID a BLACK SHADE right before I took this image. It has RGB Chickenpox all over it!

Red for the win again! Just installed the latest firmware and the dead pixels are gone after a black shade. Thanks for the quick fix.
