  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Birger Watch

Turned out to be a useful thread, Riley. You can come out of your room now and back in line. :) j/k.

Thanks. (better then wading through all that crap on the "other" thread.

Now if you could just find out where I'm in line, RFO, I'll let you cut in front of me. :)

Uhhh, that is if you're behind me.

Bump and feelings of cautious optimism that birger time and real time are in synch

New info in 1st post

Rfo, thanks for the summary. Very helpful in making forward planning and purchasing decisions.

I don't think anyone questions the product  . I think everyone doubts the delivery estimates coming from Birger by now :angry2:

newish info

Or the calm before the calm before the warning of a e-mail notification before the calm before the calm before the e-mail before .... .... [...] ... the storm!

Those of you who wait for the Birger to turn their paperweight into a camera; remember: there are those of us that don't even have the paperweight ;)

One thing we have learned is that a) time is relative and b) "tomorrow", "next week", "soon" all mean "definitely not today".

Joking aside, I do appreciate that Erik puts so much craftmanship/pride into his work, that he does not want to let go before it totally satifies him.

Don't know if people are still minding this thread ... but in the meantime I received two mails (one from Amy, one from Erik) stating that the shipping-date of my mount would be "conservatively" end of October. Call me a fool (... I know - bring it on) but the "conservatively" sparked up some ... uhmm .... hope (?)

Cheers....RFO....thanks for the post

The best thing about RFO's post is it gets companies/individuals to be more accountable and think second before they post sales pitch information.
Usually the poster is either inexperienced and doesn't understand the process or what risks there are within their company's development teams.
Red do this all the time.
Everyone likes to be the presenter of good news but too often they were spouting off without all the facts. This always pisses everyone off no end.
If you don't understand the risks and probabilities of delivery failure speak to someone in your company who does....before your speak like Santa on their behalf and screw up 1000's of people!

phew.....
Dave,

ps..I can do darker if you want...
