  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Big Win for Close Range Aerial Cinematography

Currently there are no federal aviation regulations prohibiting it. FAA policy discouraging commercial use does not carry the weight of law as the NTSB administrative law judge ruled. The question now is will the FAA try to rush some emergency regulations out the door should their appeal get the same treatment.

Every day in the US, thousands of drone camera flights are taking place and oddly enough, there is little or no death, destruction, property damage, full size aircraft near misses or invasion of privacy complaints. Makes one wonder what the emergency would really be? One reason I am often disgruntled is I have this terribly annoying problem of trying to apply logic to the affairs of government.

Government oversight or not, it is every human beings responsibility to not harm another. Nobody should be flying an aerial rig directly over the general public ever. As an operator of this gear, you do not have the right to put other's safety at risk without their permission. Through carelessness and negligence, if you injure someone in this manner, the FAA will be the least of your problems, particularly if you don't have insurance.
