  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Big Change...

New announcement on Dec. 3rd. Everything has changed... just as we promised. :-)

Jim

Seriously? Man I just changed all my plans...

Hopefully, by "everything" Jim means, some additions (of features) or reductions (of price) to the totally amazing announcement from last week.

I love the new Scarlet and Epics. Love them. Can't wait to see what has changed.

Not again.... Just Kidding. Looking forward to more info. Is it still photos, footage, and new news?

I am going to lose my mind.. this is hella exciting though..

Is it still cool to say "hella"?

Hmm so what could've changed now?

Well, I'm sure whatever I get from you on my Birthday will be much nicer than anything I get from people who actually know me.

Good news or bad news?

From Red they are allways good....

News from Scarlet 2/3 fixed zoom lens? Tell us the price please!

Thanks to all you RED team members! Nov. 13th was major. And "breakthroughs" sounds like a good thing.

Waiting for Dec. 3rd.

Good news...

Jim

do you think nov 13th was just a decoy to throw sony/pana/canon/arri off the trail?

Nope. Red doesn't have to disclose any of this. Big companies can't change their plans on a dime just because Red (or someone else) reveals some great new stuff. It's because those 800lb gorillas are slow to react to the marketplace (consumers) that small, nimble startups like Red can be successful.

So - no reason for Red to do a slow-reveal of features other than they love the interaction with their user-base (us).
