Better HMD

[Jason Goodman]

Looks like OLED technology will finally take consumer priced HMD devices up toward more usable resolution. This is supposedly available by year end for under $1,000. The article inaccurately describes it as the "World's First" so who knows what else they've got wrong.

I saw the Marshall 7" at IBC and immediately advised a company I'm working with to buy 14 of them.

I'm not sure how useful I'll find the autostereo but all the other functions are what I need in an on-camera 3D monitor and when you turn all the measuring stuff off and just have a plain monitor it's great eye candy for clients.

Yeah, the 7" Marshall Orchid 3D, its sure is a nice monitor, but also sure wishing it was a 9"...

autostereo on set (unless you are shooting for autostereo) is potentially a bad idea for many reasons. Is this multiview or or what?
