  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Betacam Vs VHS, the better one of the two lost out.

Never underestimate a Producer... If there's a way to drive the bottom line down further they will find it.

1) You are crossing the line with the attitude.

2) If you are about to use "evolved" card on the "old guys stuck in the another era" you might at least do a bit more research, since DJ Tiesto is a joke. Music you perceive as "easier to connect with" is using simple "buy a beat online" loops and cheap synthesizer emo-sequences recycled and degraded thousands of times from the originals dated 15-20 years ago.

The stuff you are using as a reference of "evolved" originated from intelligent underground electronic music and "evolved" into dumbing electronic happy/sexy pop music with music videos with chicks in thongs doing workout.

Just thought you might want to know that, since you mention terms like like "soul", "evolution", "talent", and "higher criteria". ;)

I even had a major client ask me if I could shoot there AD on one.... sheeessh.
One minute 35mm film, next minute a canon stills camera that shoots video!!.

If only they new the truth about it only being a H264 quicktime with no range to it,
but they seem not to care.

I do not understand why you think you need the Epic to battle it out with Canon. Surely the present Red camera is more than a match already!?

nouthing is wrong with red one, I love it in fact. But by the time I put my lens on, matt box, follow focus unit, battery, drive, eye pice, rails, etc etc. It now weighs more than a 435. And in that time the 5d has shot the shot and grabbed the cash. There's something to be said about how versitile the 5ds are and the wonderful depth of feild it produces. Still bang for buck RED is not going to match those things in a hurry and they are also becoming deeply intrenched into a very focal industry already.
I'm looking at the EPIC as a easier camera to use, smaller, lighter, more powerful, better pictures and fits into my back pack. Well that's the plan at least. It will be like the canon but on steroids. But by the time it comes out canon would have really musceled out alot of the non belivers.

Anyway. Not a problem anyway. Life goes on and tools are just tools.
I not worried. But the time epic comes out and shakes the bugs out. I would have probably bought a few canons by then anyway. Digital cameras are out of date the day you buy them. Coke cola will probably bring a 6k camera next week. Google next the the apple icamera will come out shooting 12k in 3d.
Life goes on. :).
