  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Beta firmware 5.2.9: Can't select AGREE on license agreement screen

So I went and installed the new beta firmware. When I next powered up the Epic, I was greeted by a "RED SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT" screen and to continue, I have to select "AGREE".

Unfortunately the Epic is not responding to my REDMote, docked or otherwise. I don't have a touch screen nor a side handle, i.e. REDmote is my only way to control the camera.

So, how do I proceed to select "AGREE"?

edit: Ah, I see that REDmote firmware has to be version 9.x. I'll update it and then it's fingers crossed.
 
You must upgrade your REDMOTE firmware to v9.0.×. Download the firmware upgrade from red.com/downloads.
Refer to the RED DSMC Operation Guide, available at red.com/downloads, for REDMOTE upgrade instructions.

Yeah, except I can't find v9.x anywhere.
 
For a quick solution, maybe try to find someone in your area to borrow a touch screen from. Not ideal in the slightest but once you do that your redmote should start to upgrade.
 
hi did anyone find any solution , i just updated my Epic MX and Can't select AGREE on license agreement screen
i only have a viewfinder and side handle.

Help please
