Help!
Just Upgraded Scarlet to Beta build 5
Scarlet+Nikon Mount no longer controls iris on Nikkor lenses:
AF-S NIKKOR 17-35 1:2.8 ED
AF NIKKOR 80-200 1:2.8 ED
So I can't use the lenses with this build

Iris control for Tokina SDII AF 11-16 !:2.8 still works, so it seems to be a communication problem with these Nikkor lenses.

Searched on the forum but couldn't find other users with this problem.
Scarlet asked for lens implementation at startup but couldnt complete the process due to unknown lens protocol.
tried several times, rebooted, etc.

Jarred & Team:
I would like to thank you for the 'new' camera; hope you can solve this problem in the release 5 firmware

HI Wim,
Did you by any chance load your Build 4 presets? I was having similar issues with my Canon Lens and the problem seem related to some sort of incompatibility with my Build 4 presets. If this is your case, try to restore the camera to factory settings and see if you continue to experience the same issues. In case this solves your problem, you will have to manually configure again your personal presets for Build 5.

Good luck!

Hi TD
Thanks for your reply.
I didn't load any presets. I always apply presets manually after the firmware upgrade.
Those Nikkors are not 'G 'lenses and are not the newest versions. But I like the physical aperture ring. The electronic control has always worked flawless, don't know why firmware 5 gives problems - hope it's only the Beta release...

This is a known issue with the current 5.1.14 beta. It should be fixed in the next release.

Thanks a lot Trent for chiming in so quickly!
I can live with that! The new upgrade feels like a new camera again
Good to know the issue will be solved in the release version. Will there be any support for AF for these lenses? The enhanced focus functionality looks very promising
