  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BeSteady FOUR Thread

I think that more that one year is enough patience. I understand that you are concerned about the future of the company and your investment.

Since this is a public forum, I would like to have some sort of comment from ACR.

Who is in charge there?

This is not a public place. Its actually private with mods that are happily looking for a reason to close this thread. Please take your complaints somewhere else. We who own RED Gear and accessories need this space for constructive feedback. Its obvious you are a troll. Leave here now!!

Ricardo

Rion is right.

This thread stays open ONLY because I have a wish that this can all be solved in a peaceful way, and that we don't have to close it down like the original thread which went (understandably) ballistic.

Any liabilities are between you and ACR and Reduser has no intent in taking part in that, being the stage for a public washing of issues or being a judge in these issues. I just simply have let it live, for you guys to have a common platform to get what public updates and communication is given, under the condition that BeSteady/ACR applies for a reduser sponsorship if/when they recover.

I have thought that if we can keep this thread a civil place, and that you can take all your aggressions directly with ACR/BS, it could possibly lead to an eventual resolve, as BS has obviously been in a position where they couldn't fulfill their obligations, but has as obviously worked on a resolve.

I do understand the aggression towards the situation, but Reduser is not the forum for that conversation.

If you prefer it, I can close this down, if that is more tolerable than the terms, but then there will be no room for a third thread.

I hope you can appreciate that we have let this mess stay open as a service, but with conditions to behavior on all parties.

No problem, I perfectly understand the purpose of this space. I will be informing all privately about the process

Thanks

Gunliek,

Very well stated and appreciated for all of your considerations.

I too am hopeful that this thread can remain an asset to not only the original group buy participants, but to the entire REDUser community at large.
There has been some encouraging news from the recipients of the first units recently - I look forward to continued professional communications that will benefit this community.

Thank you!

Thanks Gunleik,

For you guys that didn't make it to NAB....the BEAST is real and the ACR team was there....given how heated this has been they could have easily stayed home or floated the show avoiding the possibility of confrontation (seen it before with other companies).
But they were there ready to chat and make us all a bit more comfortable about the wait. The face to face time did a lot for easing my disappointment with this long road. And I for one am really stoked that they have "new tech" that is on par with the other "new tech" revealed at NAB. Makes me think that they truly want to emerge as a stand out rather than finish off this headache and get out...

so with any luck Beast #40 something will be here any day now :)

+ I agree, Well said Ryan.

Meeting those guys and expressing my concerns and getting direct feed back was a good experience. Gunleik, this thread is very important to those of us that are learning about the capabilities and the workaround that come up with the beast, although with firmware upgrades the gimbal will only get better. Thanks for keeping it open.

Ricardo Garzon:
J.Wodzynska is managing director and major shareholder in ACR Systems company.
I'm PM. My email is max at acr-sys.com
Peter Chmielewski is dealing with RedUser forum GB: his email is peter at acr-sys.com
If somebody would like to use service and support: support at acr-sys.com / ticketing system / watched over by two guys, one in USA, second one in Poland, two different timezones.

Ricardo, I will discuss your case with Peter tomorrow morning. I just want you to understand that manufacturing gimbals - and shipping those to all other existing RU GB's /plus some to new customers that bought units for full price/ is much more important than doing refunds. Otherwise we won't have possibility to do all needed refunds. ACR Systems is shipping gimbals based on good will, not because of legal situation. Whole ACR project has been prepared and created to secure shipments and future warranty and after-warranty support for everybody. If you need to sue company resposible for mess: sue BeSteady Ltd (and me, as second person in charge already bailed out while ago). I will take that weight, I already took whole RU GB on my back and personally lost completly everything. I'm just happy that ACR is continuing product and support existense. I do not know for how long it will continue, as this one thread probably will destroy hard work from NAB and result with no sales. Anyway, maybe this is how it should be - only two gimbal families on market in the end, and no place for small companies with slightly different products/ideas?

Anyway, Ricardo - I'm willing to discuss everyting during Skype chat, phone call, via email or in every other way. I will ask also Peter to answer your emails as soon as possible.

Rion - thanks for everything, your supportive discussion during NAB was really inspirational. Thank you!
Jordan - short but very productive technical chat about The Beast - thanks for stopping by and sharing your feedback. I've added up short AAR on my phone just after our chat, but if I missed something - please email me with points regarding functions we have been speaking of.
All other guys I've met during NAB - thank you for joining us! It was a pleasure to speak with you all. Thanks!

Cheer up Max. Lots of us are rooting for you and have faith that you will deliver a killer product for years to come.
Soon these hard times will be a thing of the past.

I second and third all of you who have stuck this out thus far. Hearing from Maks, Peter and all of you who were able to make it to NAB really has made the difference. I tip my hat to ACR for taking up the gauntlet, sticking with it, and soon delivering a product to all of us that has the potential to shake up the market. Keep it up guys, and looking forwards to deliver #74 some day!

To everyone asking refunds, please trust the visitors from NAB. The Beast is a beast, they will sell units because it's a good product and because of our feedback.
I'll gladly give positive feedback if the product is good despite all the mess along the way, and so far it looks good.

If you want a refund, just wait, you'll have it. Is it too hard to understand that they need to secure their company first to deliver all their units, and then refunds.
NAB was good, and it's coming. Let's wait.

Suing is completly useless, costly, and will hurt all the others buyers, inside and outside this GB.

After re-reading this entire thread, watching all the Beast videos and tutorials I decided to buy someones unit. I really think this unit looks fantastic and will only get better as did every RED that I ever purchased. It may be in "Beta" right now but it will eventually get solid guys!

Here is to ACR and the future!!!

If memory serves (if I'm wrong - sorry!) weren't you on the original GB then moved off and onto the Helix?

In terms of the Beast, I think it has a lot of promise - and potential. I hope Maks and the guys can up their production speed and get more unit out there (to both retail and teh GB waiting list).

Great memory, you are correct! But I actually ended up passing on the Helix for a few reasons and saved up for Epic Dragon. Anyways, I'm glad to be back on board! I weighed this heavily against the M10, Ronin, and Ronin M but decided The Beast looked like the best option overall with all of its potential. Yes there is a lot of risk you could say but the overall quality looks amazing now.

Adam, i doesn´t feel Beta any more. We use the rig since a week in production and it just works, no problems at all, or lets say no problems which are not fixable with a few clicks.
This is really a workhorse, i´m absolutely happy with the Beast :)

Wow that's awesome to hear, Manuel!! What firmware is everyone on now?

Didnt you receive your unit Andy? I thought I remember reading you did. If so can you give us all an update on your thoughts of the beast? Thanks :)

By the way, anyone know where we can purchase extra batteries and chargers for the beast?

Yes, I have my unit, but not done much testing as I've been finishing off a long running (and painful!) CGI project (one of those life consuming jobs you wished, in retrospect, that you hadn't taken on - LOL)... so just done a few tests as I'm not focused on it (and having to spend time with the other half to restore a bit of life balance - before she leaves me :)

I'll be giving it a some decent testing over the next few weeks, so I'll feedback with thoughts as/when... looking forward to seeing what it can do.
