Cheers Michael

Michael, thanks for posting. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
1. What frame rate is the footage in the posted video shot at?
2. The modifications you made to the gimbal - are they working well and would you recommend owner operators follow the same route?
3. How difficult is balancing? Is it fast ?
4. How does it compare to the Movi, In terms of setup and operation?
5. Have you had any consultation with regards to implementing further abilities (whatever they maybe)?
6. In your opinion do you think a exoskeleton is warranted for the BS4 and a compact Red Dragon kit?

thanks again Michael.

1. What frame rate is the footage in the posted video shot at?
25 base recorded at 50p

2. The modifications you made to the gimbal - are they working well and would you recommend owner operators follow the same route?
Yes they work very good, and no wait until BeSteady posts news ;-)

3. How difficult is balancing? Is it fast ?
I find balancing rather easy, much more easy then with Movi 15

4. How does it compare to the Movi, In terms of setup and operation?
I like it much more then Movie 15, the performance is better and the cabeling and detail solutions are better

5. Have you had any consultation with regards to implementing further abilities (whatever they maybe)?
Yes I have, and they are working on them

6. In your opinion do you think a exoskeleton is warranted for the BS4 and a compact Red Dragon kit?
For me (198 cm tall and 95 kg heavy) it is ok to work with the BS4 with EPIC, REDLink Bridge and Teradek Bolt pro 200 for about one hour and then I get tired.
And I was the first to get the prototype Agile exoskeleton last year and it definitely improves the length of possible work, but did not really improve the ability of
moving and reacting to changing situations. I will get the latest model soon and will post my experience then.

Thanks Michael, good to read this, I start to believe again that product might worth the wait.

My BS4 is working. Still playing with the tuning but it seems fine. Unfortunately, I don't have much time tonight to play with it. But then Michael has done a great job with showing its capability already.

Michael, great video and info. Thanks for posting. I have PM'd you with a couple of questions.

Yeah Mike good luck for sure. It has been written somewhere that you might have to add extra weight to the gimbal if you are using a DSLR. That being said… I could be wrong about that.

Here's to trouble free

Not necessary Rion. The BS4 works fine with a DSLR. You just have to lower the gain a bit, especially in tilt. Balance it up first, lower the gain, and it works just fine. As Michael says, it's really easy to adjust balance.

Mike,

I'm very happy to hear that, looking forward to hearing some more about your unit when you have more time. Thanks for posting.

In a week or so, I will have my exo, and no gimbal to use with it.
That's sad, please keep us informed at every steps BSteady.

They're busy and I can only assume this is all about testing, fixing building and then marketing. I'm hopeful that shipping will happen shortly after.

Peter thanks for the reply, I know you guys are busy with testing, fabricating, building, writing, promo developing but its always nice to get a quick note from you.

I think its safe to say we are all looking forward to hearing from you and Max on Friday.

Best

What ended up being the situation regarding accessory packs, extras and specialized power? Plus all the bonus stuff (warranties, add on parts etc - some of which was delayed due to cashflow)? Don't know if all that info was lost in the deletion of the other thread?

Anyway, looking forward to big news on Friday - don't disappoint us Peter, we've all been very patient! :)

Huge news for us would be:

1. All (properly working) units get shipped to the Redusers in this group buy.

2. All accessories are shipped as promised.

3. BeSteady becomes a sound company and is able to offer prompt support to its customers for the life of our 3 year warranty.

4. This group buy arrives at a happy ending. Emphasis on ending.

I believe good things are coming. I'm thankful BeSteady has persevered.
