  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BeSteady FOUR Thread

Roy, there aren't many in the wild. I'm first in line behind Carey and David and I still haven't got mine back from repair. I sent it on October 31st. Carey, David and Michael Kromschroeder (4th in line) are the only ones I know of.

I'm pretty certain they are preparing to shoot a short film. I suspect this is all about testing the gimbal in real world for issues. Peter could post as much. Speaking of posting ... Carey, Michael, how about an update on some real world usage of the BS4. How well is it working?

Thanks.

Yes Guys, please, knowing these gimbals perform well in your hand and in real World situation would at least give us some hope...

Hello Guys,

I'm sorry for having some less presence recently, we are quite busy as you may know and the results should soon explain this silence.

We are in the process of finishing all tests and upgrades of FOUR units - we had to thoroughly test all implemented modifications and it takes us some extra time. We need to be certain that these are solving all the addressed issues. It will take much less time in the future as we will be able just sure that the solutions are doing the job smoothly.

Meanwhile we are making parts for the next batch of units to be ready for shipment - please see attached photos.

Those two units have completed all trials successfully and are being prepared for delivery. More units will be built in the upcoming days.

Best,
Peter

Thanks for the update Peter. So is this next batch of units coming to the REDUsers or going to BeSteady resellers? Also, any idea when the shipping dates will be updated? Would be nice get an idea of when to expect shipment/delivery since it's been 1 year, 2 months, and 13 days since final payment was made. Cheers!

Hello Guys,

How can we know if you're silent? Not only here but neither you, Mike nor Max answer my e-mails.

Does this mean those very few that already have their units returned to them after fixes, now need to send them back again for further fixes?

And what about folks like me that are still awaiting warranty fixes - since October?

Two units done and tested. Great !

mmm wait.
That's two units in 5 months. Something must be wrong with my math.

Do you mean the last in line will have his around 2050 ?

And sorry if it's considered bad attitude, but seriously, I know it takes time with the employee you let go, but that's a really slow pace.

I would like to know these answers too.

Any chance you and/or David could arrange a Skype meeting with BeSteady?
One post from Piotr every month here and some weird communication on Instagram or FB don't help keeping us quiet even if we're all doing our best to avoid a bad attitude or being sarcastic on this forum...
I'm sure you're more than busy but it would definitely be a plus if you could talk with Maks, Mike or Piotr.

So today I get home and there's a large package waiting outside my front door. Yes, it's the BS4 returned from repair. Honestly BeSteady, would it have hurt you to let me know it was on its way and to have sent me a tracking number? That way I could have been home instead of DHL leaving a multi-thousand dollar package outside unsecured. Peter did send me a PM on Reduser about an hour before it was delivered. But I don't surf the web at work, so didn't see it until after I brought the package inside. It was shipped on Monday and has made excellent time from Poland to the US. Clearly though, BeSteady could have let me know Monday and my last two posts of desperation would have been avoided.

Now I'm waiting for the batteries to charge before I can try it. They've been sitting for over 3 months. Unfortunately, with having no advanced notice, my Dragon is out working. But, assuming the BS4 works, I will try it with a DSLR.

Yeah Mike good luck for sure. It has been written somewhere that you might have to add extra weight to the gimbal if you are using a DSLR. That being said… I could be wrong about that.

Here's to trouble free

Again, friendly moderator warning here.

I can understand everything, but THIS is not the place to vent. That will ONLY make this thread go away.

Glad to see progression, and I hope BS4 keeps the updates coming.

The terrible business logic which exists is:

If BS does not serve it's customers, it will have no customers
If BS goes bust, customers will have no BS

I guess BS is pretty aware of this.

The rest has to go in private/other channels.

Understood, thanks Gunleik.
