Ive been out of the research/buying mode for a few years. However we now need to invest in wireless video and wireless follow focus system/systems. What are some great options for wireless focus, wireless video systems for the red these days? Is the OMOD still an option? Thanks for any input.

Just your HDMI will fail

Yeah I'm bummed about this. I would far rather have a pass-through external system than one that eats my EVF.

Teradek is kind of king for wireless video, at least in the circles I run in.

Arri for follow focus has been rock solid - WCU-4 and their UMC-4 will pretty much cover you in all scenarios. But you'll of course pay a lot of dough for that.

On a more budget Wireless FF, I have the Tilta Nucleus-M. Just put it through its paces on a feature and it held up. Has a few drawbacks but at the price it's truly a no brainer.

Nucleus M really is awesome for it's budget price point.

I feel you can't really go wrong with any wireless video system, nowadays. Teradek, Hollyland, Vaxis, etc. All seem to be rock solid. Teradek is definitely more the industry standard on set, but I prefer the Hollyland and Vaxis systems, only because the ability to power them from D tap AND a sony battery. Swap batteries without powering down and losing connection. 2 seconds saved between set ups is 2 seconds saved....
