Hey guys!

I currently have close to 100 TB of RED video. I am looking for a solution to ingest, transcode and catalog my assets so I can effectively manage them. Does anyone have any expertise in this field that can point me in the right direction?!

How are you currently managing it?

I would recommend an asset management system.

Something along the lines of CatDV, but there are plenty of others.

Keep in mind though that this is a huge process to get going. It can be both expensive and time consuming, depending on how organized you want to be and what kind of access you want.

There are lots of ways to store this massive amount of data. Cloned hard drives, LTO and other tape solutions, and servers. How quick do you need to access it? What kind of redundancy will you build in? Does any of your data warrant an offsite storage in case of total loss at your current facility?

It's a lot to think about.
