Best Teleprompter for Red 18-85?

We are needing a teleprompter to use with our Red and the Red 18-85 zoom. Problem is, the outside diameter of the zoom is 142mm. Anyone used a prompter that has that wide of an opening? We'd love for it to run from an iPad, if possible.

Hi David, if you do not need to move the camera (hand hold) and it can be locked down, then the easiest solution is to build one yourself. Do a search on You Tube for Build Your Own Teleprompter or check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HZhQ6x3Y-U&feature=related
I've used a Pro-Prompter in the past, but the prompter does not have a wide enough opening to go over the lens, but lines up in front of it...so I just mounted it on a board. Then I discovered these iPad cheap solutions.

This company belongs to a friend of mine (I'm not on the payroll).
A very neat design and reasonable price, works with ipad, iphone, LCD.
Should fit 18-85mm.

I have a prompter people rig, no issues with the 18-85mm, used it many times with prompter.
