Best Starter Lenses

Hi there... I am thinking of placing an order for a RED camera and I had a question about lenses...

I was wondering what would be a good stater Lens set and Matte Box best for the RED at about $20,000??? (I can manage using stills for now) I have used Cooke lenses in the past and would love to get a great set in the future. But until then, I need to stick in the $20k-$25k range.

With a limited budget I would go with the Red 18-50mm, very nice lens for the price. And then add the Angenieux Optimo DP Rouge 30-80mm Zoom Lens. This will give you good basic coverage and you can always rent longer lenses as needed. As to the matte box I cannot say enough about the Red Arri MB20 Package Abel Cine has but together. Top line gear at a good price and add in the Arri FF and you are set.

Mayby a good Angenieux 20-100 zoom lens. It's a bit heavy, but if it is in good shape, a lot of bang for the buck.

Red 18-85 lens? Depends on your mobility requirements though, it's big and heavy (but equal to or better than the Cooke 18-100 according to tests on this forum):

I am looking for Red 18-85 lens, my order takes few month, and we got a project shoot on may 2009, I could pay little extra, if someone has earlier order, or new lens.
