Curious what everyone's settings are to make the skin tones the best in red cine-x

I was starting to adjust the midtones to add more red into them.

I'll attach screengrabs

Redcine-X is quite limited in what it can do with regards to skin tones. Sure you can add more red to the midtones, but thats also adding red to the midtones of the entire image. If you're happy with that - no problems.

Look into Resolve Lite. It will allow you to qualify just the skin tones and tweak them without making global changes to the image - much more powerful.

Hey everyone, welcome Ed David to the party! I've known him for over 10 years! Now he own's TWO Red's! Ed is an amazingly talented DP, and we are very lucky to have him here amongst our ranks.

Thanks Nick

Actually I am seeing though what people are doing - and I will show what I'm doing with red cine-x. It actually seems quite competent to my needs which is providing a 1080p file for projects with quick turnarounds. I don't know if going into resolve lite will be to my needs considering that I really need to just turn around really quickly a 1080p files for my clients to use. I'm quite happy with the level of control red cine-x gives me - I just wish it had a vectorscope feature. Just trying to get to more natural skin tones and was wondering if any one has their "recipe" to share. What I just did yesterday I'm pretty happy with.

And yes I'm using RedColor3 which is really nice!

Welcome Ed.

If you can post some ungraded .tiff will be great. I am developing a new technique, that works great on skin tones.. thanks.
