  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Best settings for shooting 5K stills

Don't touch the OLPF!! I shot some stills at 5k and they look great. Check my site for info. 12 FPS 5k iso 800 around 5.6 or so at time 4.0 24-70 2.8 L lens

If you are shooting stills only - I would give it a go with the HDRx as well. Down to 6 FPS in 5K, but thats about the same you get with DSLR's. It really depends on how controlled your lighting is going to be...
Also - use the highest quality compression ratio...

EDIT: And I second to do not touch the OLPF...

I'm pretty sure the OLPF isnt removable and you'll void the warranty if you mess with it.

experiment.

as far as 8fps vs 12fps - decide if getting better coverage or getting better media efficiency is more important.

set your shutter speed purposefully.

Yes I shot on 1/96 Shutter speed and they came out great.
