Hello,

We will be shooting some additional shots on a RED camera for a project that was originally shot
in Anamorphic on an Alexa (log c).

Looking for advice on the best settings/format on a Epic/Dragon to make it as simple as possible for post.

Thank you

Nobody has replied yet? Surely someone here has a tip! Anyway, all I know is that you should have a low contrast filter, and do your best to match noise with the Alexa footage. Then all you have to do after that is to perhaps apply a colour profile.

Alexa footage is no more consistent than any other camera, so there's no need to try and be perfect about matching footage. Just by watching Downton Abbey, I can see how different it can look under different lighting set-ups, colour temperatures and ISO settings (they change ISO when necessary). Skin tones are not bad but no better than any good digital camera.
