So in my line of work, Action Sports a rider might try a trick 100 times before landing it. Im going to be on location in the Philippines for 20 days with 2 4tb raids for storing footage. What I don't want to do is fill the raids up with 1tb of bad clips.

Whats the best and the proper way to go through and delete the bad takes. I've searched the forum and found mixed reviews but a lot of it was in 2011. Im wondering if anything has changed now with new Redcine-X.

Currently I'm transfer the SSD to a named folder like 11/1/12 etc. Then going into the .RDM file and deleting the individual .RDC by pulling to Trash. But thats on my mac pro where I'm working off an internal HD. I think it might be silly to transfer folders to a Raid then go through and pull clips into the Trash. All of this is going on while location on a Macbook Pro.

Just to be correct is there a way to delete last clip in camera?

There is stlll no way to delete last clip in camera unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view).

I don't think that's silly at all. If one of your RAIDs is a backup, you might try an rsync application to keep the two arrays in sync when you delete clips from one. I've been happy with Backuplist+.

Patrick,
I've been dealing with this problem as well in my current project. I'm trying to get some fast moving birds in the frame and filling my mags with shots I know won't be used. A couple of ideas that aren't mentioned yet that may help you out:
If your rider falls the first 99 times and you know the whole mag is junk so far, you can format the card in camera and start over on the mag before you get the first good take.
Right clicking a file in the REDCine-X browser and choosing "delete" is more direct method of moving a file to the trash than searching through the clips and deleting them in the finder.
Hope it helps,
Jeff

PS, looking forward to seeing some of those "#100 shots" ;-)
