Best Playback Monitor

[Taylor Lamb]

I need to buy a playback monitor for the director and actors to watch on. What would be the best monitor that I can connect HD-SDI? I would use a regular HD flatscreen but my HDMI port is taken up by my +1 Monitor Adaptor.

SO GOOD! Sony 17 inch OLED:

Hi!

If you are looking for a cheap alternative, here's what I use:

10m BNC-cable from camera->

A cheap chinese HD-SDI to HDMI converter: https://vimeo.com/51770361

-> 0.5m Hdmi-cable from converter to a 22" Hdmi-monitor.

Works like a charm, haven't had any problems so far. And the whole set costs under 200Eur.
