best place in the uk to buy canon lenses?

[jorge krausch]

Where's a good inexpensive place in london to get canon l lenses? Also ideally would let me see them on my camera before buying them? Seems rare now a shop that lets you see before you buy...

Tottenham Court Road is probably the place if anywhere - most of the shops will allow a bit of haggling. Won't be cheaper than online though as they have shop rents to pay for.

try Bblist for online stuff....

I used to go to tottenham ct road a lot as a kid for computer parts etc.. but I dont trust those stores for 1000 pound lenses.. frankly shops that dont display price tags on their items are dodgy to me.... could even have imitation stuff with the word canon printed on it.. is biblist safe for authentic lenses?

BBlist functions as an excrow service for people in the industry.
It means that you have time to inspect the product when you receive it and must ok your purchase before payment is made to the seller.

Pop down to Calumet in Drummond Street near Euston Station. They have everything, including a rental department where you can try before you buy.

Thanks so much everyone... Calumet sounds perfect and descent prices.. will visit them.
