I used to use Tiffen Irnd with earlier red cameras. Then used mitomo true ND or tiffen straight ND with Monstro

What is best with Komodo? Is the sensor just tweaked Dragon sensor and needs IRND?

Suggestions or links to filter test greatly appreciated!

Motimo True ND are apparently some of the best ND's available so if you have access to them I would recommend continuing to use them. Tokina also makes some great nuetral ND's but are also expensive. People on REDuser rave about Firecrest Ultra ND's and I have never used their 4x5.65 version filters but I did get color cast with some 77mm Firecrest screw on filters so I never went down that road. Personally I have always shied away from Tiffen ND's as they seem to color cast often. I invested instead in (2) sets of Nisi 4x5.65 Nano IRND for my Gemini and my Komodo kits and am quite pleased for the price. They clean easier and repel dust/water droplets better than any other ND I have ever used. They do a great job at blocking IR and I don't get color cast with them up until about 6-7 stops and even then it is just a simple dial of +/- 1-2 tint in the REDcode metadata. Nothing anywhere close to the color cast I have gotten out of some Schneider and Tiffen ND's which were almost unusable in my opinion if you want accurate colors.
