Hey guys, with most Epic/Scarlet configurations not weighing much ... and the desire to be more "mobile" -- just curious if anyone is looking to move in the direction of lighter tripods? And if so, which ones?

I've used the OConnor 1030hd and it's amazing (probably the one I'll go with). But it's still not truly "light" and would like to know my options.

We have a 2060 and it's fantastic, just that it's a beast. So unless I'm using it with a 3D rig or a huge Optimo zoom, I feel like it's going to be overkill with Epic/Scarlet most of the time.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts :)

We LOVE the 1030HDS with our 25L sticks. It was the perfect size for our RED One and we expect it will be even more perfect (as if that were possible!) with our Epic-X.

MY 1030 / 25L will arrive either tomorrow or monday. 15.5 lbs. I could have gone lighter, but I love O'Connor heads. I do have a bowl adapter that will let me mount the head on my Gitzo Still legs but that's only gonna save me 3 pounds over the 25L.
