I just purchased Lighting for Digital Film and Television by John Jackman and was wondering if you guys knew of any other, perhaps more modern, cinematography books on lighting for digital? A lot of these lighting for digital books are either dated and made for digital camera that are further estranged form a natural film look than today's REDs and Alexas or they're made for DSLR filmmakers...

I had a buddy who read "Lighting for Film and Digital Cinematography" by Dave Viera. She thought it was excellent, but she wasn't very versed in the subject...so not sure if it's remedial or not.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, my worries are also that most are going to be for beginners... any advanced book on lighting that some on here could recommend would be cool.

At this point, especially with the Dragon around the corner, the whole "lighting for digital" thing can almost be thrown out the window anyways and we can probably just go off any lighting book.
