Best lenses canon mount for RED?

Hey guys
what would you recommand for a sharp zoom lense and prime around 1500$ each
i know the sigma art are pretty amazing. I'm debating if i go with the Canon 24-105 Mark 2 lesne that is coming out at the end of the month. all my films has been shot with that lens.

I'm wondering if there's better options around that price or that's kinda of it
I just don't want those purple edge around the light and something super sharp.

In my (humble) experience, I always found Canon lenses to be not so sharp, nor great in general. Zeiss are much sharper. No zoom, though.

If you want SHARP you go with Zeiss Otus primes, Sigma Art and Zeiss Milvus! Are you looking for autofocus also?
I personally hate zoom lenses that extend while zooming and the Canon 24-105 is one of those! The sigma 18-35 is a must have but if you want a real cinema zoom lens with no breathing the price tag will be quite different! The new zeiss lwz 21-100 for example is 10k

Interesting topic...I use mainly Canon lenses with my SW included the 24-105 and for my point of view are good, but I would love to try something else..but it need to have AF, as for the new side handle it only pull focus if the lens is on AF....Any suggestion?

I don,t need autofocus. I've always used the canon and that's what i'm realizing they are not sharp at all.
The sigma 24mm art and the 24-105 sigma seems to be mega sharp. I saw the Zeiss Milvus they seems a bit more expensive then the Sigma but they seeem to do the same kind of sharpness
is it true?
