Just wondering if anyone has found a suitable stabilizer plugin for FCPX that can work with native 6K R3D's. I have tried apples stabilizers but I don't get the greatest results and nothing compared to Adobe's warp effect.

Thanks in advance

I know it's an extra step but if you can import R3Ds into After Effects (I personally don't know if you can) use the Warp Stabilizer. It blows away anything I've ever tried. No joke it makes my hand-held shots look like I used a Movi

Image Stabilizers are sort of like owning a gun, it may feel good to have one but you never want to have to use it.

I have Coremelt's Lock 'n Load and for the most part find it works better than Warp Stabilizer, but not always. Sometimes it's the other way around, depending on the clip. When image stabilizers are outlawed, only outlaws will have image stabilizers.

What version of FCP X are we talking about?

Because not long ago there was a major upgrade to the built in stabilizer with more control. It's also built on Shake's optical flow technology which blew the doors off everything a while back. AEs warp stabilizer is great, but it depends on the shot and what you need.

Id experiment with the FCP one. Once the file has been analyzed you can try the variables without having to analyze again.

Thanks guys. I have the latest version of FCPX and I have used core melt and the built in FCP stabilizers as well. I am looking specifically for one that doesn't require transcoding the R3Ds and I know the FCP one works with R3Ds. Core Melt does require transcoding the files in order to track them FYI. I will keep playing with the built in stabilizer.
