It really depends on what camera package you plan on using in the gimbal. If you just use a raven and smaller canon prime lenses, just about any gimbal will work. The Ronin MX is pretty good for the money if you're camera package is light weight. If you're looking to build out a larger package with a v-mount power option, zoom lens, FIZ and or matte box with filters, you'll need to look for something a bit larger like the Movi M10, original Ronin or the Tilta Gravity gimbal would work well. With gimbals it's less about what camera you're using and more about what lenses/filters/power solutions you're using.

I have a Movi M10, Movi M15 and RoninMX. The M10 handles a basic RED Weapon package, the M15 handles just about any package I can thrown on it and the Ronin MX I use just for aerials, so it is a very light weight setup with only the body, lens and some screw on filters. Of course, you can add weight to balance just about anything on any gimbal, but if you're using it handheld or on a copter, keeping things light is quite important.

Once I receive my camera I can give some feedback on how it works stripped down with the Helix Jr. Planning on running Sigma primes and jetpack for a super light rig.
As mentioned above it really depends what type of set up you are trying to stabilize.

Ronin mx or Gremsy H7, if budget allows then H16

Ronin-M is better than MX when it comes to ease of use as handheld gimbal. Have both and I still enjoy using the M more than MX. Beware though, you still might need to spend almost another $1,000 for case (& custom insert foam), extra batteries, red cable, battery plate, extra battery charger etc. If R-M pisses you off, don't expect R-MX to be any different unless you are using it for aerials. Seems MX was develop more as an aerial gimbal.

When using it for aerials specifically, I have read about how the Movi m5 can lift a Raven, anyone tried to?
