  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Best for playback - iMac 5K or laptop and screen?

Guys,
As you may have established from my previous post, i've landed the job of sorting all the IT bits and pieces out for when we get our Weapons. One of the requirements is to be able to play footage on exhibition stands at the highest resolution possible? Now I translate that as being in the best quality (not necessarily resolution!) as possible.

So I'm looking at options. Does anyone have any views on which is better? Using the screen off an iMac 5K Retina display, or using a MacBook Pro connected to a 4K screen (we have one of these in the office: http://store.sony.com/54.6-diag-x850b-4k-ultra-hd-tv-zid27-XBR55X850B/cat-27-catid-All-Sony-HD-TVs) through TB->HDMI2 adapter? I'd value any comments? I presume that there's no 5K or 6K screens available at the moment? ... at acceptable prices I hasten to add!

Cheers
Richard
