Best Expot For High Quailty?

Ive have a project that was finished for web and ive just been informed the project will be on local TV . I need to deliver the project before 6:00pm tonight

I transcoded the footage from 5K HD to 1080p Prores 422HQ in RedCineX and edited the project in Final Cut 7.

whats the best way to export and keep the most resolution?

What are the specs for the local TV company? 29.97? HD or SD? What are the source specs? 23.98?

I dont know the broadcasting format they want and neither does the person im communicating with.

So as your timeline is Proress422HQ, the best quality as a mov file that you could export is HD Quicktime 8 bit uncompressed. But then that would possibly be a bit heavy to upload and if you shoot it out as a proress422HQ (then you recompress which is not optimal) it would still look fine and not be as heavy as uncompressed. I think they could take any of the two but better ask and find out what they want delivered. Most likley they can take any 23.96p quicktime.

Honestly, I wouldn't assume anything. They probably have very specific specs and those specs may not be ideal for you. I would definitely find out for sure before you move forward. Otherwise they may make you re-submit. I've had all kinds of specific specs I had to deliver to. MPEG-2, ProRes, H264, 29.97, 1080i, 720P, etc.

If they'll take a ProRes source file that will be easy but make sure frame rate and resolution meets their spec.
