Åre Video Challenge is the biggest downhill mountainbike film competition in the world with topclass athletes and was held during the Åre Bike Festival in Sweden. 5 filmteams, 5 days of shooting and editing and a pretty intense week.

I ended up winning the "Best Director Award".

Athletes: Tarah Gieger & Katie Holden
DoP and editor: Robert Gustafsson

Shot on Red Epic Dragon with Canon L glass and Sigma art primes. I also made a full segment with Kippertie IR OLPF. (I had to clean my sensor outside, on top of the mountain in the most windy and dusty environment you can think of.)

Thanks Zeb B. Glad you enjoyed the visuals.

Consider this a pretty basic "storyline", it's mostly about the riding and the visuals.
They didn't return mother's call because they were too busy riding their bikes and get a rewarding travel experience at the same time. Noone really knows if they returned the mothers call or not. Maybe a topic for the sequel. I also got a few questions regarding the IR story at the end and there it's up to the viewer to imagine what really happened inside the barn (turning the whole village into white.)
