  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Best books of all time?

The Camera, The Negative, The Print (by Ansel Adams) opened my eyes to proper exposure and beauty at the same time

Please tell me which book is best for a beginner? I'm just starting to learn. Any help would be helpful. Thank you!

You can start with the book Cinematography Theory and Practice that helped me a lot. After reading, you will be able to move on to a more advanced study. I would also advise you to study not only specialized literature but also fiction. For example, I got a huge dose of inspiration after reading Hamlet. Here https://studyhippo.com/essays-on/hamlet/ you can familiarize yourself with the raised topics in this work. After that, I invented my own filming style. So don't neglect your study of fiction and theater.
