  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BEST BATTERIES

I usually favor light and small equipment for the stuff I shoot and I've been using PAGlink 95Wh batteries since their release and they have been great! (My Dionic HCs haven't been used since I bought PAGs)
Just ordered a couple of the new PAGlink 150Wh and I think they will be a great addition due to their power, size and weight. (It's probably the smallest 150Wh battery on the market)

I'm considering these batteries as well. The PagLinks are very flexible. I like that they are so each to recharge. I have to very small travel chargers and can easily recharge 4 batteries in a night, 6 would be possible if you have maybe 12h.

I own 6 PagLink 94Wh and I just bought 4 of the newly released PagLink 150Wh and although the 150Wh are not as travel-friendly as the 94Wh they're identical in size and just a bit heavier. I managed to squeeze out 1 hour 57 minutes of constant runtime in 8K/25fps with a 150Wh.

Can ~95Wh batteries power a Red One MX with SSD module and with 5" monitor running as the only other thing drawing power? If it is possible, is it a really heavy toll on the overall battery longevity?

Or do you have to stick to higher capacity batteries for better realtime watt draw? Just got a R1 and the battery terminology and specs are all a bit new. I assume many of the discussions here are for DSMC 1 & 2 systems with lower power draws.
