  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So I'm looking to use a lightweight system with an Epic, basically as light as I can go, with audio, and quick change from sticks to handheld. 15mm rods are obviously the way to go. I need bottom mounted rods, as well as top mounted rods. Basically there are 3 systems I'm looking at. Viewfactor, W-o-o-d-en Camera, and RED. Does anyone have any reviews of their 15mm rod systems? Is any one better than the other, or should I just go with what's the least expensive?
 
Red/Element or (censorship) will work well, as long as it's actually 15mm, any name brand products will be more expensive but also more durable, with fewer compatibility issues. I would suggest steel rods for any camera or lens support, aluminum and carbon fiber will flex or mar over time.

A lot of people seem to like swat rails and rosettes as well.
