Hey Folks,
I'm looking for a good pair of all around sticks for my new (old stock) O'Connor 515 that has an 100mm bowl. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Sam

Me and my crews use two different 100mm bowl CF legs sets depending on the type and mobility of the work at hand - Miller Sprinter II CF 2-stage, mid-spreader, and Miller Solo CF 1505 spreaderless. They're affordable, well designed, well fabricated, and dependable. The heads we use on them are Miller Arrow 55 and Miller Compass 25.

Love my Cartoni A303 legs. Light, strong and the lock/release mechanism for the telescoping length adjustment is quite clever. It is the easiest design I have found for raising and lowering the camera without a helper (or having to remove the camera first). Like Steve (though not as often in as exotic and beautiful locations, I add in envy) I do some very mobile work where every pound counts and where you are the entire camera department.

With the O'Connor 1030HD head onboard the whole rig is under 12lbs. Assuming you haven't put a ton of "gack" on the camera, or a large zoom, a typical Epic build in my world is 15-25lbs. With a gross weight of around 30lbs I now have the luxury of just picking up and moving the camera without straining my back. Points there.

Cheers - #19
