What would be the best optimal setting for a 2K finish for Digital Cinema / Film Negative - Full Debayer or Half Debayer?

Did Full Debayer have any benefit for Colorist / VFX Artist to enhance the visuals and if yes in What way?

Does Full Debayer resized in DI Software like Nucoda Film Master / Baselight / Resolve looks great than Half Debayer ?

It depends on how much reframing you're doing in post. If you're planning on punching in on any of your images a half-debayer may make it harder to blend shots together. I think it has something to do with the extra "perceived" sharpness given by the half-debayer. It's a lower quality render that looks a little sharper but, as Russ said, is actually more noisy and this will really start to show as you move closer and closer to a 1 to 1 crop. Less noise, and less false sharpness is generally better for VFX work as well.

I'd go with the full debayer.

Full debayer for finish.

Full debayer for finish.

I agree Jim. But my Colorist & Conformist in-spite of my say, says that for 2K finish regardless of Full-Debayer, need to resize in software hence use Half-dabayer for entire post-production workflow is their side of argument.

Any technical & visible difference it makes in final output!
