  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Behind the Candelabra

I thought the movie was terrific. It´s an insightful look into a misunderstood legend, and I thought a revealing window into what it meant to be a gay superstar in the 70´s. The fear of exposure Liberace lived under was clearly overwhelming. I didn´t need the movie to be happy, I just needed it to be honset, and as always...Soderbergh delivered.

Agree 100%. Soderbergh at its best. Great performances as well and "epic" images. Really happy to see great films, such s this one or "Holy Motors" and "Rust and Bone", being shot with RED cams.

Matt Damon had so many nuance moments they were beyond great. Camera work was fun to watch and had purpose. Lighting and shooting movies like this is something to learn from. Hopefully more movies will catch on although after seeing wwz I feel like some big blockbusters already have

Congrats to Jim Jannard and people @ RED for the Emmys to Behind The Candelabra. Best Actor Miniseries or Movie: Michael Douglas, and Best Director Miniseries or Movies: Steven Soderbergh.

The movie is really nice, and RED aesthetic is top notch. You really deserve it people!

(I'm sad Jim will not celebrate this on Reduser, but i know he will read. Love and respect to you, man!)
