  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I noticed this evening that the RED store no longer has any lenses, just lens caps and the like. Gone too is the venerable old matte box and fixings. Dear RED, please tell me what might be coming, before I spend a bunch of dough on something else that falls under the category of glass!!!! VV coverage????
 
Thankfully you only have to wait until Thursday to find out. :-) In the meantime, do some window shopping. I watch the lens discussions fairly closely and I have observed that some lenses are hyped but don't perform well in the real world, while others are overlooked yet perform very well indeed. Of course I'm not the person to recommend anything, but do pay attention to the non-glamorous details as well as the glamorous ones.
 
I don't know of course, but I am pretty sure that Jim's announcement on the 6th will be bigger than RED having some new lenses.
