So!!!! Adobe did it.
they released a 10k platform with 64 bit architecture, unlimited ram, the Ultra keyer, much much better speculated editing functions, extreme proposed stability, native red editing with FLUT, 32 bit float point color fidelity, audio sync, on-location multi format recording, and my personal favorite XML output. Actually from what I've seen and read thats some very impressive XML and EDL output.
I humbly applaud Adobe for its implementation of XML output to Avid and Finalcut Studio. I can now do all my Red edits and effects then export to Apple Color for final grading. This is the poor mans Davinci Resolve. ......... wait wait wait, Davinci resolve is now $1000.00. Be-careful what you ask for. $1000 dollars for a formerly $200,000 system. That means we totally can just skip Apple Color altogether and just use Davinci resolve for color correcting.

other features i am excited about are timecode display and audio sync and re-sync.
AE is a beast now wow!!! combine AE with all the new 64 bit plugins from , the Foundry, Boris, Redgiant, Saphire, etc,
its all about create create create.
This release by far trumps AVid media composer 5,

I applaude too, but where did you see audio sync? AFAIK it's still missing.

I don't think that Davinci Resolve will be much better than Color without the hardware support. Right now we can grade in After Effects, but it takes time. Color is better than AE for grading, because it makes grading easier, not because it can do things that After Effects can't do. I think that will be the case with Resolve. But that price will certainly help newcomers to learn Resolve much faster at home.

The 200k resolve out there runson one GPU for efx and grading overlay, it depends on hard drive speed and cpu for performance. So it will be much faster than , Apple color and AE, all depends on your system. its real cool. All the other hardware sold are harware control surfaces, infiniband etc

What about windows version of Resolve?
