Hello All -

Was wondering if anyone has had any trouble with Battle Tested monitors. I just received my Scarlet package from RED 4 days ago, and I purchased a Battle Tested 7" LCD monitor from them. While shooting today, the monitor developed a solid single pixel line all the way from left to right of the screen. Doesn't appear to be affecting the footage, so I know it's not a sensor issue. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before, and if there's any in-home trouble shooting that can be done prior to sending it back to RED. Seems rather quick to develop such a problem....

Next time, snap a photo of it with your iPhone, so you can show it to Red Support.

Any gear can develop a fault at any time.

The only troubleshooting would be swapping out the cable, and rebooting the camera.

Also check your firmware version…and install the latest firmware if it isn't already loaded. There were some issues with 7" Touch and certain firmware versions although I can't remember specifically which ones. And I agree with Eric, try a different cable…I've had several cables that caused display problems with 7" Touch but worked fine with 5" Touch.

if its the new 7" Touch then def check different cables.

I cant use anything longer that 12" with mine.

Tons of anomalies on the screen practically un-usable for real work.

I imagine that by now you have contacted Red and have worked it out.
