Looking at buying the gunner pack, but with the battery options this is what I'm currently deciding.

4x REDVOLTS $750
1x DSMC SIDE HANDLE $950
1X QUAD CHARGER $595

TOTAL: $2295

or

Backpack Quickplate $650
RED Powerpack $1450

TOTAL: $2100

The red brick method is cheaper and will last longer, but wondering if there is anything I should be aware of?
Also the weight of the batteries will that make a big difference for a lot of shoulder rigged shooting?
P.S not concerned about flight issues as I'm in Australia.

Thanks.

Red Brick is better solution , but don't buy BackPack QuickPalte . better to get Wooden Camera solutions for powering form Vlock .
+ with RedBricks you will have D-Tap power 12v out to power additional monitor and FF , with Handle solution + RedVolts you will not have additional 12v out .

The
4x REDVOLTS $750
with
1x DSMC SIDE HANDLE $950
a must, plus as suggested, I'll surely add an inexpensive V-Lock system so to use also V-Lock batteries in extended shoots, also good to balance the camera, and or long shooting hours, or as said, continuos shooting with Hot swapping form DSMC Redvolts to V-Lovk batteries.

As for the charger if you want to save for now get the travel Redvolt charger, but you'll be running at very minimum with only 3 Redvolts and one Travel charger.
