  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Battery Setup for scarlet ?

I would just be very careful using any power supply other than one with RED prominently stamped on the side. I used a third party power source, there was a problem with the internals of the camera, RED found out I used a third party power (I told them because they "thought it would help diagnose the problem") and they blamed the internal problems on me and charged me $1700 to fix the problem. This was after they said it wasn't my fault and said they would send back the camera. They held my camera and extra three days with no word and then sent me an invoice at 5pm on a Friday. I had a shoot on Tuesday.

Do you mean any power supply? Batteries included?

Someone in ....................................Anyone know how long REDmotes last on a single charge?

If I remember rightly Redmote will last about 8 hours on a single charge

If I have collated the energy densities of various batteries correctly:

Top batteries in terms of Energy Density (watt hours / kg)
+) Globalmediapro Li190S-R weighs [190 wh : 1.17 kg] [Density = 162.4 wh/kg]
+) Dynacore DS-220S [220 wh : 1.35 kg ] [Density = 163 wh/kg]

Not sure the weight of the Red Quad Battery module. But for comparison:
+) 4 x Red Volts + Quad battery module [120 wh : 1 kg + ?] [Density < 120 wh/kg]

How do you connect the ones from Cinegearpro to a Scarlet?

Hey guys, was wondering if the IDX E-10 match up with the AB HC. They are quite a bit cheaper for a starter kit.

I was going with the AB but had a set back and had to hold off. Now I am ready to purchase again but decided to do some more research. Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit* based on some last minute research I think the globalmediapro is the best way to go. 2 160wh batteries and a dual charger for $850? That's awesome!
