it would be great if there would be a possibility to integrate a D-Tap Output to the Battery Module or maybe at the module adapter.
So many accessories are using D-Tap (HD-SDI Monitors, Follow Focus, Teradek Cube), love the idea about the quad module but i somehow need to power accessories as well.

thanks for listening :)

Actionproducts electra and topplate will do want tou want

Electra might be a good solution when going with V-Mount Batteries (although i need to see a working model first, and from the last pictures of the prototype i doubt it will work together with The Clutch / Red Shoulder Pad, but hope they changed the design) , as I´m looking forward to using the Redvolts on the Quad Module for Handheld Work (better balance) I need to power accessories somehow, RS connectors or D-Tap are must have therefore, and i think if Red wants to establish there RedVolt Power Source, they´d need to give us some external power from Redvolts ;)

I really would rather not buy the clip on V-mount just to let me do LW handheld work w/wireless focus without a brick.. GRRRR..

Hi guys

the Actionproducts Electra is what you should check out. I've seen it live 2 days ago at the AP headquarter in Switzerland. It has D-Tap and 3 more out and inputs (I'm under NDA) that everybody needs on a real world filmset.
It is damn light and modular like all RED Modules. Don't get me wrong here, I love the RED asseccories on my Epic but the Electra is in an other league than the backpack for example.
Also the AP topplate is the most advanced on the planet at the moment. None is even close.
AP will come out with even more killer stuff very very soon.

Brian, Daryl and Justin will show you more very soon. Shipping will be soon too. So don't spend your money too quick. Check it out. You wont regret it.

Tim

Hi Tim,

There's a brick in that first picture. Is there something I'm missing about how this can work without one?

Again, Electra is nice, but it won´t work with RED`s "The Clutch", for Handheld, it will interfere with the Red Shoulder Pad (if they didn´t change the design seen on your photo).
It also won´t work with Redvolts, which i like to use in the coming Quad Module , as i see it it´s plain for V-Mount Batteries.

Using Epic with Quad Battery Module and the Shoulder Pad seem like to give Epic a very nice Handheld Setup that´s why i´m so keen about a power output from the Redvolt Module.

I´ll sure go either for an Electra, or Brooks Adapter Plate, but i want to have options, options, options
