Mounts directly to RED Cradle or RED Quickplate.

That means you need to spend another $1200 to mount on the brain. Whereas the viewfactor APU-IDX Battery Plate costs $650 to mount directly on the back of the brain. That's all you need to mount v-batteries.

Add a 1b-to-2b $190 cable and mounting hardware. Not sure how you'd get it directly onto the back of the camera. The only 3rd party accessories I've seen that use the epic's rear module mount are a plastic end cap and a $700 battery plate. More likely you'll need to mount on rails.
