How many red volt batteries do you need for a full day of shooting on a film with a single epic? Trying to decide how many to buy...

Thanks!

48 @ 30 minutes runtime.
72 @ 20 minutes runtime.

OK, I suppose you wanted a real answer. My guess would be for an eight hour day, if you were using a quad charger that is soon to be available, you could rotate anything between four and eight redvolts per camera.

Theoretically using Redvolts with a 30min Runtime and a recharging time of 90min you´d need 4 batteries and 3 travel chargers to run through a day, but thats nothing you´d try out on set.
If you stick with travel charger and side handle, i´d go for 8 batteries and 3 chargers.
If you´re in for the quad battery module and quad charger i´d go with 10 batteries, 1 quad charger and one travel charger given that quad module runs 4 redvolts for 2 hours and quad charger charges 4 batteries in 90min.

Those estimates sound about what I was thinking. Thanks!

If you haven't already, I would also get an AC power cable. Obviously you could power with that in an emergency. (I'm assuming you have access to AC power if you can plug in a battery charger.)
