Hello

The Core SWX Nano X are pretty pricey in Europe. Are there other recommendations? I would need one you can charge with USB-C like the Nano X.

Can anyone confirm the quite cheap small rig v mount batteries work?

Thanks for the hints!

I use the SmalkRig 99w batteries and they power my KX without issue. Be aware that they are not officially recognised by RED so you won’t get a percentage readout, or a low power warning from the camera OS. If you have an SDI accessory connected you will likely be better off with a battery from the RED line.

I always use smallrig batteries in my KX, the batteries can display the power %, and I also use SDI monitor without issue. Please use the good quality SDI , and follow the right step connect your sdi accessory, very safety.

Which Smallrig batteries are you using? I have three batteries none of which show the remaining power percent via the Komodo’s OS. You have to constantly check the power on the battery itself.

If the power runs out without you disconnecting the SDI accessory beforehand you run the risk of damaging the port as the camera may no longer be grounded.

Having a ‘low power’ warning via the OS gives you notice to perform a swap.

It is an inconvenience that is worth considering if you leave the camera on for long periods of time.

Is it worth the extra cost to get this feature? That’s up for the OP to decide.
