  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

batch upresing? any solution?

thx Trevor.

I found this:
https://aescripts.com/rd-render-layers/

seems like I could switch over to AE do the instandHD and use this render layer plugin to get the avi files out separately as 1080p.

also it seems like I can make a ton of sequences in premiere like Vince says here:
http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/908761

hm then how do I get the instantHD plugin applied to each sequence?

thanks for everyone's help.

ok. I think I figured it out. pending testing this idea.

I take the 450 720p avi files. I put them onto one premiere timeline. I apply the instantHD setting to one of them. get it right, then copy and paste to the other 449 files on that timeline. then I select them all. right click. hit nest. bam 450 sequences are created in premiere each with only one clip per sequence.

open up adobe media encoder. import the premiere project file. select the 450 sequences it finds. and hit go on the adobe media encoder queue.

right?

seems like this will then keep the same file names as the files right? and the new clips will be 1080p right?

or is premiere gonna change all the names to something like sequence378 for the file name for that clip on the 378th sequence?

any ideas?

hm. ya so the new sequences are like "nestedsequencee25" so the clips it makes in the media encoder are named like that nestedsequence25.mov

so ya...

anyways

I'm thinking AE with Render Layer could be the way to go. I dont have instantHD on me, but can you apply that to an adjustment layer?

Or could get the instantHD effect looking good, save that as a new preset, select all the clips in 1 timeline, apply the instantHD preset, then use render layers??

Or maybe something like this Do It Again to automate making new comps, adding instantHD, adding to render cue then clicking down to the next clip...?
