Hello everyone

I was on set editor for a commercial this past weekend and there was a lot footage and importing just Medium proxy files was a long and painful process so I was wondering if there was a quicker workflow to just grabbing the medium proxies from the original R3d folder.

in finder type _m in the search window. Make sure the correct folder is selected and all _m proxies will show up. I usually sort by name and drag into fcp. It's pretty quick. Good luck.

It is best way . But if you are on XSAN , and your system is Leopard it will not work :( I have problems with it.

If you're on Leopard, Clipfinder will let you drag and drop proxies of a selected type into FCP.

In Clipfinder you select the res you want and it will global change automatically, grab all those clips and drag them to FCP.
