Hello!
I have a Letus LTMB1 Matte Box for sale. It is a four stage matte box (three 4x5.65s or 4x4s sandwiched up front [or two at an angle] plus a rotating 138mm tray in the rear.)
It comes with a top flag, riser, and 80mm clamp.
Awesome features about this matte box:
- Rotating 138mm stage - Rota Pola filter frames are quite expensive by themselves.
- The front stage can hold filters at an angle which can greatly reduce glare (and which the Panavision matte box uses as well.)
- Letus sells a 4x5.65 and 138mm Vari-ND combo OR you can get the Schneider Vari-ND (which is probably the best one out there) in a custom 4x5.65 and 138mm combo.
Condition-wise, riser has some wear and the flag has some very light cosmetic scuffs, but the matte box is in nearly perfect condition and basically new. I bought it new from someone that didn't end up wanting it and then never used it on a shoot myself except for testing at my house.
Letus changed the design of the LTMB1 at some point, so the riser is the older version and I believe the matte box is the older version (or it might just be the top flag and 15mm clamp that's older).
A few points worth mentioning about the top flag: one is that one of the holes for the screws at the top is just slightly off center, so I had to remove one of the screws for it to line up flush. Letus offered to fix it, but it functionally makes no difference. The other is that the way the flag works is that pushing down on the flag travels in the same direction as tightening the clamp for the flag, so it will never fall down on itself when clamped and you can push and adjust the flag downwards with no issue. However, the opposite is true, so if you need to adjust the flag upwards, it loosens the clamp, which means you have to tighten the clamp again to hold the flag in place. I don't think it is too much of an issue, but I just wanted to point it out.
The current price on all of this is $1200. I'm asking $750 shipped in the US (or plus shipping elsewhere). Feel free to make an offer as well.
Thanks!
