Can one fully run a Scarlet and access all menus with a REDMote? I've never tried because I always had a (now sold) touchscreen. :)

To confirm, every single menu of all kinds are available through the REDMote, not just those that directly pertain to shooting? I should have asked that way first.

Akin, I saw your thread when I was having trouble recently as well. If it makes you feel any better, I was having problems staying paired and I had two REDMotes and two cameras to test with and was able to eliminate the possibility of either a bum camera or REDMote. I never figured out what the problem was and, thankfully, they mostly behaved and when they didn't the client was patient. Still, it was definitely frustrating.

To access every menu in camera you would use the REDMOTE in "remote" mode and use the keys on the REDMOTE to drive the menus on some monitor on the camera (HDMI, HDSDI, etc). Alternatively, we are adding more and more of the menu functionality in "local" mode on the REDMOTE. For example in the 6.0 beta you can access roughly 90% of the menu items directly on the REDMOTE without "driving" the menus on an external display.

FWIW, my REDMOTE has ALWAYS performed flawlessly....

Love mine but of late users have been putting it to a dim mode which I havent had a chance to fix.
