Baseplate Mounting Solutions for Switching Between Multiple Setups?

Hey all - I have about 3 different setups (tripod, slider with another head, and shoulder rig) that I switch between on a fairly regular basis. The tripod and slider have two different heads (and two different plates), and the shoulder rig currently just has a dovetail for mounting.

I know RED has their own Quick Release Platform system, and it looks and feels great, but is costly for getting three platforms.

Wooden Camera similarly has their own, but I'm not entirely sure I trust a thumbscrew to hold a cam package in place.

Has anyone come across a solid solution that's compact and affordable?

One dovetail baseplate and three dovetail plates does great for me.

I use Arca-Swiss style plates and quick release clamps on everything I own tripods, heads, jib, dollies, etc... They're not quite as substantial as the RED stuff but significantly less expensive and have less bulk/weight. I especially love RRS QR lever clamps and Kesslers is also nice.

I second Kessler, I use their quick release and quick release XL base plate. With this you can put the Red down on a surface well supported with it's 4 feet.

Arri dovetail is the fastest for me. Plus it’s universal on bigger sets.

Great - thank you everyone! I think I'll opt for the Arri dovetail, as that seems the least expensive to get (and I have a clamp already, so less expensive to jump into).
